The dare-to-bare, steamy actress Raszia who is already doing about five regional films in the South declared at the Film Festival in Goa that "she doesn't mind posing nude". She is already a well-known model and has done numerous campaigns and assignments both for Indian and International brands.
She is also a fantastic stage performer and dancer and her stage shows are a big hit in the Gulf and European region. She has performed with some of Bollywood's biggest names in UK, Canada and the US. "I don't mind doing hot, steamy scenes or kissing scenes. I also don't mind doing nude or semi nude scenes, provided it's a big, recognizable banner I am working for.
I am an actor and if the script demands it and the director or the production house is reputed, I will do anything that is required," said Raszia while responding to a query by a journalist about the crossover film she is doing.
According to her Business Manager and publicist, Flynn Remedios, Raszia has been signed on for a crossover film by a US-based start-up production house called Purple Fire Films. "In this film Raszia will be seen in an itsy-bitsy bikini. The film also has some red-hot love-making bedroom scenes which will be very artistically and delicately shot. Model Raszia fly for a Hollywood flick
Dusky and petite damsel Raszia is all set to pack her bags and take off for the US of A where she will be shooting a crossover movie that focuses and dwells on real-life situations. The storyline of this movie is based in Gujarat and in the US and deals with the dilemma of third generation Gujarati kids who are born and brought up in the West.
Raszia who has been modeling for the last 2-3 years was chosen by Purple Fire Films after screening almost 200 prospective candidates. The production house Purple Fire Films is a startup venture, funded by young NRIs and some Investment Firms based in the US and will concentrate on producing good Hinglish cinema. The name of the movie is under wraps and for now is only titled Kem Chu.
Spokesperson and Media Manager for Purple Fire Films, Flynn Remedios said that Raszia was chosen for this project after about five different auditions. "The movie is a comedy and will keep its viewers laughing throughout. Raszia fits the bill as she has lived in Ahmedabad and Rajasthan and the Gujju accent and lifestyle comes naturally to her," explained Flynn Remedios.
"Purple Fire Films is looking for new talent and has about 15 medium-budget film projects on the drawing board. They want to work with new artistes and make good, enjoyable yet economical and commercial movies," explained Flynn, adding that they have signed on five more newcomers for their forthcoming projects, but refused to divulge the name of the director. All details will be announced in due course, he said.
While the movie is a family entertainer, it will also have some double-meaning innuendo, which is however all in good taste. Raszia will also be seen in some scanty and sexy outfits as she plays an NRI Gujju girl who returns to her fatherland for a family reunion. All hell breaks loose when Raszia turns up in a micro mini for a family picnic. The project will go on floor in January or latest by February of 2009.
